Digo has a BSc in Biology from the University of Porto. In 2019 he finished his MSc in Biology, University of Coimbra, jointly supervised with Paulo Gama Mota. His MSc focused on the genetic basis of vocal learning in songbirds, by analysing structural characteristics of song in crossed races of canaries.
