Latifa finished her PhD in Biology, University Hassan II (Morocco), in 2013, jointly supervised with Hocein Bazairi (Universite Mohammed V, Rabat, Morocco) and Rhimou el Hamoumi (Faculté des Sciences Ben M’sik, Université Hassan II, Casablanca, Morocco). Her PhD focused on the ecological network of the benthonic and shorebird community at the Sidi-Moussa Lagoon, in Morocco.
